A couple of crafts

Today going to introduce a couple of work.

I created an eyeglass case which is a gift for my mother in raw. Painted in "corner cupboard yellowish white" of Old Village butter milk paint. It gets matte finish. Inside is also one of "virginia clock blue".

Handle perched on top is a hand made. Cut lether and wound by hemp cord. Glued with E6000 and installed with brass screws.

Another one created this week is a kind of spice rack which is a gift for my friend bulit a new house recently. The size is about 24"x18.5"x6.5". 5 drawers and 2 rack boards painted in 1:3 walnut:oak mixed of Livos oil stain which is based on orange oil. Finished by bee wax made in Japan. The shelf board is switchable.
It took full 2 days plus an hour for band sawing 2x4 lumbers. The wood is called White Wood a kind of spruce? from scandinavia? I think it's not too bad. Very inexpensive. Mostly light weight but some pieces twice. Seems having heart piece is heavier.
